Initially, I focused on women and men Baby Boomers looking to get back into shape or taking their first steps towards adding fitness to their lifestyle. By focusing on fitness in our middle years, we can show the world that 50, 60 or 70 truly is just a number.
In time, I discovered that many of my initial clients had parents, spouses, or friends with health challenges from arthritis to Alzheimer’s. Working across this spectrum of clientele has been some of my most rewarding work. Almost without exception, the addition of exercise to the daily routines of older clients has helped them to maintain independence and stamina for daily living.
Then there are the Gen X or Y and even Z, children or even grandchildren of Boomers. I am equally committed to helping younger people find the path they seek to becoming fit. I am now able to say that I have had the privilege of working with clients from 2 to 95 years of age.
Bottom line, I want my clients to exercise because they feel rewarded by the hard work they invest in their fitness. Equally, I strive to help them discover just how capable they are at meeting and exceeding their fitness challenges.
Personal Training
Customized exercise sessions of one hour include use of balls, bands, weights (including one’s own bodyweight), pilates and yoga movements, and floor work.
Cardio exercise is integral to a balanced program. I consult with clients to find his or her best cardio solution(s) and help with perfecting technique to achieve maximum results.
Flexibility and balance are essential for clients of all ages. Often overlooked as part of a fitness program, balance, flexibility and stretching help to prevent injury and accidents. In trying to avoid a fall because of lack of balance and core strength, we end up pulling or spraining a muscle or joint. I will help you to keep or rediscover your sense of balance while developing joint and muscle strength and mobility.
Boot Camps
In one hour, boot campers push every muscle to the max. We lunge, squat, perform burpees and pushups, run sprints – and of course plank! It is a non-stop hour of hard work and hilarious cross talk. You have to be there to believe it. And you’ll LOVE the results!
